Summer is the time of music!! Music is the one thing that gets me through the long days and nights of summer and makes everyday meaningful. Now, here are some alternative songs for your summer:

1) Life Itself – Glass Animals

This song is absolutely AWESOME. Glass Animals is finally back with some good tunes and nice beats. Perfect song for chillin’ poolside. I also find this song oddly relatable?

2) Go! – M83

This song has been floating around the alternative world for some time, but it is still so good and perfect for summer. This song is upbeat and makes you wanna dance on the beach forever.

3) Are We Ready? (Wreck) – Two Door Cinema Club

I cannot tell you how happy I am that Two Door Cinema Club finally released a new song. Anyway, this song is also super upbeat and sounds awesome at the beach (I can attest to that). I wouldn’t mind dancing to this song. All I gotta say is that if the rest of their album is like this song, I will definitely be listening.

4) Night Swimmers (Mura Masa Edit) – Foals

This song is very electronic, which is a genre of music I enjoy most during summer. This song is super cool and chill and I highly recommend listening to it if you’re into alt-electronic-type music.

5) OBLIVIUS – The Strokes

Yes, OBLIVIUS is spelled wrong intentionally. Anyway, THE STROKES CAME OUT WITH NEW MUSIC! Right?? I love The Strokes and this new song is so SO good. It has a great melody and I absolutely love the guitar in this song. Time to listen to the rest of the songs released.

6) Something To Believe In – Young the Giant

I’m already getting a little tired of this song, but nevertheless, it is still a great song and I’ll always adore Young the Giant. It really is a good song for the summer.

7) Dark Necessities – Red Hot Chili Peppers

I’m also getting a little tired of this song as it gets a lot of airtime. Still a good summer song, though, and Red Hot Chili Peppers are an all time favorite for me.

8) The Sound – The 1975

I don’t care that I’ve literally been listening to this song for so long, but it’s still so darn fun to listen to. It’s a song that makes you want to dance in your underwear for sure.

9) Heathens – Twenty One Pilots

Twenty One Pilots, my absolute favorite band, released this song yesterday for the movie “Suicide Squad.” It is so awesome and so simple, it’s just great.

Songs will be added as time goes on 🙂
